Which are the steps to claim the Deposit Protection guarantee?
While it's rare for a landlord not to return the deposit, if this happens, you should contact our Customer Support team to initiate a claim. You can contact our Customer Support team following these steps through your Tenant Profile:
- Log in to your tenant panel.
- Open the Bookings section in the menu of the tenant panel.
- Select the booking for which you want to open a dispute and click View Details.
- Click on Contact an agent.
- Choose the I am having problems with my security deposit option
Spotahome will process the claim with the landlord. If we are unable to recover the deposit sooner, we will pay the coverage amount within 60 days from the date the coverage is requested, provided that the legal timeframe for returning the deposit in the property's market has not yet expired.
