The verification request is a standard know your customer process, similar to what you would have to go through to sign-up with a bank or to register at your local doctor’s surgery.

Spotahome may request the customers (tenants and landlords) to provide: national ID/passport, liveness check, proof of home address, proof of solvency, proof of payment, proof of ownership/legal rights to rent the property. 

We do these additional checks to enhance security in our marketplace for all our users.
