What is the verification process?

What is the verification process?

Each tenant that has a booking request accepted by a Spotahome Plus or All-in landlord is required to complete a verification process, which ensures the highest level of security to both tenants and landlords throughout the whole tenancy.

In order to do this, we fully prioritise trust and security on our platform. Our fair selection process promotes equal treatment based on objective criteria. Your satisfaction and well-being as a tenant are our top priorities.

Your landlord has already completed their verification process, and these are the steps for you to complete the verification as a tenant:

Complete your Tenant Profile

This step consists in providing details of any person involved in your booking, namely your flatmates, or any person supporting you financially (i.e. a parent, a company). If you are not moving by yourself,  by sharing the details of your flatmates, we can ensure compatibility and shared responsibilities, fostering a positive and enjoyable living experience for everyone involved. You can do this even before sending a booking request, as completing your Tenant Profile will give you a greater chance of your request being accepted.

Identity verification (ID, Address and liveness check)

This process is designed to provide a secure and trustworthy way of confirming your identity. It also includes proof of address, which helps establish your residence. These measures are in place to ensure compliance with legal requirements, prevent fraud, and maintain security for both you and the property. Learn more

Proof of Funds (Solvency check)

It is essential for assessing your financial capability and ensuring a reliable tenancy. By verifying your financial resources, we can have confidence that you will be able to meet your rent obligations consistently. This helps create a stable and dependable tenancy for both you and the landlord.

Direct debit set-up (SEPA Mandate) (Only if the property you booked allows Rent collection)

The SEPA Mandate offers a convenient and secure method of rent payment. If the property allows rent collection through SEPA, it ensures a stress-free payment process for you as a tenant. By eliminating the need for manual actions, such as writing checks or making bank transfers, it simplifies the payment process. Additionally, the SEPA Mandate is commission-free, providing you with financial benefits.

To pass our verification process you must  complete all these steps no later than 48 hours after your booking request has been accepted.
