3. The 24-Hour Grace Period

To improve booking quality and reduce last-minute cancellations, Spotahome offers a 24-hour grace period starting as soon as a booking is confirmed.

During this 24-hour window:
  • The tenant can cancel the booking.

  • The tenant receives a full refund of the first month’s rent.

  • You, as a Landlord, won’t receive any payout and the booking dates will become available on your listing again.

After the grace period ends:
Any cancellation is handled under the
standard cancellation policy, based on how many days remain until the check-in date.

This approach helps ensure that bookings that remain after the first 24 hours come from more committed tenants, reducing disputes and late-stage cancellations.
