Does Spotahome provide a guarantee for the deposit?

When you book a property tagged as "Deposit Protected" on Spotahome, your security deposit is backed by our Security Deposit Protection Policy.
This means that if there's ever a dispute with your landlord about getting your deposit back, Spotahome will step in and cover it for you — as long as the conditions of the guarantee are respected.

To be covered, make sure you:
  1. Sign a rental agreement and stick to the original conditions of the booking made through our platform
  2. Share with us clear photos or videos of the property within 48 hours of moving in, and take proper care of the apartment throughout your stay
  3. Pay your rent and bills on timefor the entire tenancy
How it works:
  1. You're protected for the full deposit amount shown on the listing
  2. Spotahome processes eligible claimswithin 90 days of your check-out date
What's not covered:
  1. Any damage or issue not documented at move-in
  2. Damage caused by not respecting the house rules or the rental agreement
  3. Costs caused by breaching your booking conditions (e.g. leaving early, unpaid bills)
